Man betrays brother after caught with drugs at airport in Dubai

A man was detained after Dubai Airport customs officials found over a thousand drug capsules in his possession.     The African national was questioned by the airport officials after he was acting suspiciously.  They opened his hand luggage and found the capsules in plain sight, atop his things.  After analyzing the substance, they discovered 1,120 capsules of Pregabalin. Court orders expert at Kuwait Bourse to pay citizen KD 64K

KUWAIT CITY, June 26: The Court of First Instance ordered an expert at Kuwait Bourse to pay a Kuwaiti man KD64,000 as his share of money earned after a company went into liquidation. Lawyer Talal Al-Mutairi argued that his client signed an agreement with the defendant, and another person upon which he gave the expert KD40,000 to invest in the Bourse. Court clears Kuwaiti female lawyer of forging secondary school certificate

KUWAIT CITY, June 26: The Court of Appeal has nullified verdict of the Court of First Instance that refrained from pronouncing penalty against a female Kuwaiti lawyer accused of forging secondary school certificate from Syria. The court discharged and acquitted the woman of wrongdoing after she presented report sheets of the classes she attended until the completion of secondary education. Husband beats up wife over password protected WhatsApp messages

KUWAIT CITY, June 26: An unidentified woman has filed a complaint with the Hawalli Police Station accusing her husband, six years older than her, of beating her, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily said the wife is determined to pursue the case against her husband and take him to court. KUWAIT CITY, June 26: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested an unidentified Egyptian for stealing public funds in collusion with two employees of the fuel station, reports Al-Rai daily. Drunk woman assaults UAE cop, hits patrol car

The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court has heard the case of a woman accused of consuming alcohol without a licence, assaulting a police officer and causing damage to a police patrol vehicle. She reportedly caused damage to the rear glass of the vehicle. During the hearing, the defendant admitted to consuming alcohol without a license, but denied the assault charge and causing damage to the patrol car. Worker gropes 7-year-old at Dubai shop, jailed

A 36-year-old man, accused of groping a seven-year-old girl, has been sentenced to six months in jail by a Dubai court. He earlier denied a molestation charge at the Dubai Court of First Instance. The man was found guilty and will be deported after completion of his jail term.
