Study: Middle Eastern actors ignored by TV

LOS ANGELES: Actors and characters of Middle Eastern and North African descent are either ignored by TV or stereotyped, according to a new study by a California-based university. The few such actors who get work are largely confined to playing tyrants and terrorists, said the study released Monday. One percent of regularly seen TV series actors have roots in countries including Egypt and Turkey. Want to flaunt your smile? This treatment could help

When it comes to getting a dazzling smile, teeth whitening is a must. The current rise and rise of teeth whitening procedures - both DIY and otherwise - is testament to that. Before you walk down the 'pearly whites' route though, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. How does teeth whitening work? Our teeth are normally pale grey or yellow, not bright white. In 'Creed II,' Dolph Lundgren is happy he has better lines

Being cast as the villain Soviet boxer Ivan Drago in "Rocky IV" launched Dolph Lundgren's acting career. But he had a brainier path if that didn't work out. The 61-year old actor holds a master's degree in chemical engineering and was on a Fulbright scholarship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology when Stallone cast him as Drago for the 1985 "Rocky" sequel. Lundgren doesn't regret trading academia for those red boxing trunks with the gold stripes, though he wishes his character had a few more coherent lines. "It felt really surreal, and, at the same time, it felt like a...
