Mitron’s latest song Sanedo is about Jackky Bhagnani following dreams despite trouble

Mitron released its new song 'Sanedo' which looks like a small introduction to Jacky Bhagnani's life and character in the movie. The song is a musically soothing rendition of the famous Gujarati folk tack Sanedo which has been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi and sung by Darshan Raval and Raja Hassan. The video is the journey from obstacles in Jackky Bhagnani’s life when he thinks about pursuing his dreams, to eventually going out and achieving the goals. Sanedo can be quite a mid-week inspiration for anybody who is stuck in life but never wants to give up on dreams. Watch the...

Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson reunite for 'Star Is Born' duet

(CNN)Barbra Streisand gave the crowd at London's Hyde Park a treat Sunday night, when she reunited with her "A Star Is Born" co-star Kris Kristofferson on stage. The two opened the show together, singing "Lost Inside of You," a number from their 1976 version of the movie. Streisand introduced Kristofferson by telling the crowd to welcome to the stage, "one of my favorite leading men." "Here's a song that we sang together in the movie, right? I love this song," Streisand continued. Then they sang "Evergreen." Streisand had hinted about a reunion with Kristofferson back in April on Instagram, when she...

'Spider-Man' flies high, but Marvel should slow its post-'Endgame' roll

(CNN)A few months after "Solo: A Star Wars Story" fell short of box-office expectations, Disney CEO Bob Iger issued a sort-of mea culpa, conceding that the ambitious schedule of movies might have been "a little too much, too fast" and a "slowdown" was in order.Even with "Spider-Man: Far From Home" swinging to another huge opening, Disney's other marquee franchise, Marvel, might want to consider a similar course of action, slowing its roll after "Avengers: Endgame," the operatic culmination of its 10-year plan.At first blush, that might sound strange. "Spider-Man" opened to generally positive reviews, and in its first week has...

Jokha Alharthi: ‘A lot of women are really strong, even though they are slaves'

Jokha Alharthi’s second novel, , may have its roots in rural Oman – its irrigation canals and high desert nights, its cool back rooms and busy courtyards – but it was born in Edinburgh. Alharthi was studying for a PhD at the university, she had an eight-month-old baby, and she and her husband had had difficulty finding a place to live and so were renting a small flat from week to week. Her stress was compounded by the fact that, although her PhD was in classical Arabic poetry, she was expected “to write fluent English, and to write fluent essays,...

Barbra Streisand review – a legend keeps it kooky

Her appearance in Hyde Park is not only the first time Barbra Streisand has played in London in six years, she informs the audience. It’s the first time she’s performed an outdoor show in 52 years, since she gave a New York concert called , a title presumably given for reasons of modishness rather than its resemblance to the other happenings staged around the US in the Summer of Love: it’s hard to imagine anyone was tripping on LSD and rattling their love beads while Streisand belted out Happy Days Are Here Again. She was, after all, the breakout star...

'Five years to do 10 chuffing houses!' – meet the guerrilla gardeners of Granby

From the outside, they look like any other houses in the street, with their big bay windows framed by chunky liver-coloured sandstone, and bright-blue front doors in brick-arched openings. But there’s something strange going on. You can see the sky through the first-floor windows, and exotic leaves are pressing up against the panes. Step inside and, rather than a standard two-up two-down, you’re confronted with a lush scene of ferns, lilies and full-sized beech trees, while fronds of star jasmine wind up the stair banisters towards a greenhouse roof. This is the Granby Winter Garden, the latest phase of architecture collective...
