Apple unveils iPhone XS and fall-detecting Watch

Apple has updated its flagship iPhone X handset with two more powerful models, one of which is larger than before.The iPhone XS Max has a 6.5in (16.5cm) display. Amazon plans to open new warehouse, create 2,800 jobs in Germany

That will bring Amazon’s total staff in Germany to more than 20,000 across more than 35 sites by the end of 2019, the retailer said in a statement on Sunday.It added that its 13th warehouse in Germany would be in the western city of Moenchengladbach.Amazon has faced a long-running battle with unions in Germany over better pay and conditions for logistics workers, who have staged frequent strikes since 2013.

LIC new premium more than doubles in June; pushes industry collection to Rs 32,241 cr

New Delhi: Led by Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), life insurers' collective new premium income jumped 94 per cent to Rs 32,241.33 crore in June this year, according to data from Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority. All the 24 life insurers had written new gross premium of Rs 16,611.57 in the same month a year ago.
