Mumbai: It’s all new for Halle Berry! Being the newest addition to the third instalment to the gun-fu franchise, she will be introduced as an old friend, whom Wick calls upon for help in his ongoing struggle with the infamous High Table. Years and Years review – a glorious near-future drama from Russell T Davies

I don’t feel we deserve Russell T Davies. We don’t deserve his talent, his generosity, his glee, his unabashed joy in everything. And we don’t deserve his ceaseless willingness to pour them all out before us in endlessly glorious TV dramas, from his singlehanded resurrection of to , last year’s magnificent – and now, Years and Years. The new six-part drama follows the fortunes of three generations of one Manchester family, the Lyons, from 2019 through to 2034. The intertwined personal lives of close-knit siblings Stephen (financial adviser and loving family man, played by Rory Kinnear); Daniel (Russell Tovey), a...

The Dead Don't Die review – stumbling zombie comedy kicks off Cannes

Jim Jarmusch’s undeadpan comedy is laconic, lugubrious and does not entirely come to life, despite many witty lines and tremendously assured performances by an A-list cast. It’s a droll if directionless riff on a fondly remembered, affectionately reanimated genre: the middle-America zombie nightmares of , when the flesh-munching bodies tumble out of their graves, now utterly surrendered to the conformism, consumerism and cannibalistic narcissism that ate away their souls, long before their ostensible death. The Dead Don’t Die naturally alludes to these traditional satirical expressions of zombie-ism – we get zombie teens mumbling “wifi …” – there are hints at...

What gets you hot? The sweaty, brutally honest show about bodies

The pants arrived today. They’re bright pink with the word HOTTER emblazoned on them in red letters. “We’ve always had cheap pants that were drawn on,” says Ell Potter, stretching the elastic. She drops them on the table and grins at Mary Higgins. After two years, the pair’s debut Edinburgh fringe show has made it to one of London’s coolest theatres. Hence the underwear upgrade. Hotter is their sweaty interrogation of the female body, its fluids, desires and changes. The duo, both 23, are more used to conducting interviews than giving them. For the show, they quizzed women and non-binary...
