Realme 3 Pro is official with Snapdragon 710

The Realme 3 Pro is finally official after a series of teasers, and the specs look fascinating. The device has a 6.3” Full HD+ screen and a Snapdragon 710 chipset, better cameras and more RAM than the first Realme 3. The new camera has a 16 MP + 5 MP setup, with the same Sony IMX519 sensor, seen in the OnePlus 6T. The selfie is now 25 MP with fixed focus and standard f/2.0 lens, which is a huge upgrade over the 13 MP front-facing camera in the Realme 3. The back panel also houses the fingerprint scanner. Realme coupled...

Realme 3 Pro review

Introduction Realme has been putting out phones at least every other month and in less than a year the company's portfolio has grown to 9 devices. It's the latest one we have here today - the Realme 3 Pro. The Pro moniker carries a lot of meaning here - it's not just some extra RAM or storage. For starters, the Realme 3 Pro comes with a 1080p display as opposed to the 720p panel of the non-Pro and the waterdrop-notched 6.3-inch screen appears to be the same one from the 2 Pro. Then there's the chipset - the Snapdragon 710...

Lenovo Z6 Pro full specs revealed day before its launch

Ahead of tomorrow’s Lenovo Z6 Pro event in Beijing, the company’s VP provided the device’s full spec sheet through a Weibo post. We’ve seen its impressive benchmark scores, camera samples and even the retail packaging and now we get confirmation of the final specs. As previously seen, the device will sport a 6.39-inch water drop notch screen with a 32MP selfie cam and built-in fingerprint scanner. The Snapdragon 855 is paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The highlight of the device is around the back, where the four 48MP + 16MP + 8MP + 2MP camera sensors come together...

Watch the Realme 3 Pro get unveiled here

The Realme 3 Pro was teased and leaked multiple times in the past few weeks, leaving virtually nothing to the imagination. Madhav Sheth, chief of the Indian division of the company, teased the phone could have fast charging, slow-mo video mode, and 60fps refresh rate of the display. Key specs, pricing, and availability are yet to be revealed, and here’s the YouTube link to follow the event live. It begins at 12:30 PM local time and will take place in New Delhi, India. The phone was rumored to have Snapdragon 710 chipset and at least 6 GB RAM, according to...

Top 10 trending phones of week 16

Week 16 didn't bring any big new names so understandably the list of most popular phones in our database hasn't changed much. We still got a change in leadership, as the Galaxy A50 reclaimed its throne from the line topping Galaxy A80. The Huawei P30 Pro retained third place, while below it the Redmi Note 7 managed to overtake the Samsung Galaxy A70. The Huawei P30 lite, the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the fourth A-series phone - Galaxy A30 are holding station in sixth, seventh and eight, respectively. At the foot of the table the Galaxy S10+ edged the...

Here’s what can you get for €2,000 instead of a Samsung Galaxy Fold

Welcome to the world of tomorrow, where the latest Samsung phone folds in half and goes into the pocket. We already had some hands-on experience with the Samsung Galaxy Fold, and gave you some cool insights but now we'll look on the funny side and see what else you can purchase for if you chose to save your €2000. Since we're having fun, we also checked how to upgrade your service up to €2,299, which is the price of a Huawei Mate X. First, let's start with something simple. Do you want a Snapdragon 855-powered device? Xiaomi has you covered...

Week 16 in review: All about the Galaxy Fold, OnePlus 7/7 Pro, Pixel 3a/3a XL

Welcome to your recap of the week's hottest tech stories. Week 16 of the year marked the first live encounters with the Galaxy Fold across the web (and here at GSMArena HQ) and it didn't take long for the first issues to arise. Several of the early units' displays malfunctioned and while removing the protective layer on top of the screen was the explanation for some of them, other seemingly were just defective. Samsung issued a statement that it will look into the display issues and that users are not to remove the protective layer and that this would be...

Weekly poll: rear vs. selfie camera, which is more important?

This week we saw the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G claim the title of "Best selfie camera", at least according to DxOMark. The phone's rear camera matched the score of the Huawei P30 Pro, which previously ruled alone. This along with the results from last week's poll got us wondering about front and rear cameras - which one is more important to you? We're well past the era when phones had only one camera (and it was on the back), yet for one reason or another the rear camera is still treated as more important and gets the better hardware. There...

Samsung Galaxy Fold in for review

When we received an invitation to give the Samsung Galaxy Fold a try, we immediately jumped the plane and headed to Samsung’s office. There, an Astro Blue unit was waiting for us, and we already shared our initial impressions of the device. Now however we have the phone at HQ and we are eager to put it through its paces and see where it fits in the bigger picture. The first thing you see when you open the box is the majestic 4:3 OLED screen in an unfolded manner. It is pretty much a standard 7.3” tablet which, thanks to...

Samsung Galaxy S10e vs. Apple iPhone XR

Introduction The iPhone XR and the Galaxy S10e are Apple and Samsung's solution to a problem they created. Not rich enough to afford our $1000 flagships? Here's a cutback option for $750 with a similar name and feature set. But while both phones have the same price tag, they both go about it in different ways. Apple chose to make its cheaper variant bigger and beefier, with a larger display and battery. Meanwhile, Samsung went the opposite route, making the S10e the smallest of the four new S10 phones. Then there are a bunch of other differences as well, not...

Weekly poll results: Oppo Reno 10x zoom edges out Samsung Galaxy A80

The Oppo Reno 10x zoom prevailed in last week’s poll, beating the Samsung Galaxy A80 by a healthy margin. The rivalry between these two goes beyond selfie camera vs. rear camera, though these are clearly major parts of the phones’ identities. The Oppo Reno 10x zoom will be only the second phone on the market to deliver a 160mm telephoto lens (same focal length as the P30 Pro, despite the possible confusion caused by the “x zoom” rating). Plus, people have more faith in the reliability of the shark fin pop-up selfie camera. A80's 48MP camera is used for selfies...

Counterclockwise: As 5G arrives we track the 3G and 4G adoption

With the dawn of 5G upon us, we wanted to look at how quickly new networks are adopted. The first 2G networks appeared in 1991 then the first commercial 3G networks came alive in 2001 (but wouldn’t reach Europe and the US until 2003). We’ll use the relative popularity of 2G-only phones, 3G-enabled phones and then 4G phones to gauge adoption. We’ll look at the last 25 years - starting the chart at 1994. But keep in mind that the 1991-2003 period is essentially all 2G. Early 3G phones didn’t take the world by storm – MMS was cool, no...
