Today Xiaomi India announced the opening of 500 stores simultaneously, setting a Guiness World Record. The event actually happened on October 29, but the company needed everything to be cleared by GWR before announcing the achievement. In a follow-up tweet, Xiaomi India explained the expansion is part of a “New Retail” model for India where it aims to provide “flagship store experience” to customers in rural areas. The company is setting even...

Samsung is pushing another Gear S3 update to take care of the battery drain

There are a couple of long-lasting software issues with the Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch lineup. This summer, the company reportedly fixed the overheating while charging and now, an update claims to have taken care of the sudden battery drain as well. The firmware version is R760XXU2CRK2 and weighs only 10MB, but it sure does fix a very annoying bug that affected not only Gear S3 Classic and Frontier watches but Gear Sport units as well. The changelog also mentions stability improvements regarding Galaxy App store downloads too. If you still haven't received the OTA update, try looking for it manually...

Official Honor 10 Lite press renders leak day ahead of launch

Honor is launching a new phone tomorrow and we already know its specs, thanks to TENAA. The phone is called Honor 10 Lite and was just listed on China Telecom’s support page with full specs and official press renders. It is pictured with a waterdrop notch and a Blue back panel, instead of the gradients we saw last week in a TV commercial from China. Huawei Honor 10 Lite Although most of the details were known, including size and resolution, we are sad to see the phone will have micro USB, instead of USB-C that was pictured in the video...

A new leak from the same Russian blog shows us several samples that were allegedly shot using the Google Sargo hardware. The shots were taken in and outdoors and the samples look promising. Sure, the hardware being used it likely a prototype without all the final camera features and tweaking that will be included on...

Samsung hopes Galaxy S10 to succeed, otherwise crisis is inevitable

Samsung introduced a prototype of its first folding smartphone, expected to arrive next year. We are also eager to welcome the Galaxy S10, marking the 10th anniversary of the flagship series which might come with a tiny hole in the OLED panel to to enable an all screen front panel. Both these technologies sound intriguing, but the reason Samsung is finally getting in the lead of innovation is internal troubles at the Mobile Communications department in South Korea, local media Korea Herald reports. DJ Koh, CEO of Samsung’s smartphone business is going all-in to find a way to turn the...

LG Watch W7 drops $200 at Best Buy

Do you remember the W7 Watch that LG announced when it unveiled the LG V40? If you don’t, it’s okay. There isn’t much worth remembering about the wearable. The three most notable things about the watch are: it’s a hybrid Wear OS watch with mechanical hands, it has no heart rate sensor or GPS so no real fitness tracking features, and it uses the outdated Snapdragon 2100 chip. Oh yeah, one more thing. It cost $449 when it launched. The watch was released just a little over a month ago on October 15 and the W7 is already seeing a...
